OSJ at SJE Arts
In 2021, during lockdown 3, the OSJ Proms series moved to SJE Arts. We were sorry to leave the Ashmolean Museum, their home for six years. We have since built up a loyal audience at this new venue.
SJE is a larger venue and can more easily accommodate socially distanced audiences.

About SJE church and St Stephen’s House
The Grade I listed church of St John the Evangelist was designed by Victorian architect George Frederick Bodley as a place of worship for an Anglican religious order, the Society of St John the Evangelist.
St Stephen’s House is an Anglo-Catholic theological college.
Plain chant was an important part of worship and the design and simplicity of decoration of the church reflects this need with a superb acoustic. Especially good for choral, the space works well for almost every kind of performance.
